Corporate Clothier Embroidery Guidelines and FAQ

Q: How do I get my artwork to you?

A:  Corporate Clothier has a unique embroidery loading function that will allow you to attach and send your artwork directly to us during your online purchasing process.  If you do not have the artwork available at the time of your order check out, you will also have the option to email us the design at a later time at your convenience. If you have a scanner, you can scan any design onto your computer, and when sending us an e-mail, simply attach the file. We can accept jpg. gf, bmp and eps files. If you need any guidance in this, feel free to e-mail us, and we will guide you. When providing artwork please submit it at the size in which you would like it to be embroidered. If you are unsure of what size might be appropriate, our Customer Service Representative will be glad to assist you.

Q: What does embroidery cost?

A:  The cost of embroidery is determined by several factors: Size and number of stitches in the design, number of locations on the garment, and type of garment and fabric. To help make this process easier for you, Corporate Clothier charges a flat $4.00 fee per embroidery location. This cost includes up to 8,000 stitches which in most cases will cover the typical, standard logo indentification embroidery.  For embroidery over 8,000 stitches, please contact us and we will be happy to work with you and supply the best quote possible.

Q: What is digitizing?

A:  Digitizing is a term for taking a piece of artwork (i.e. line drawing) or a company logo and converting it for embroidery machines to read. There are additional charges for this type of work, and price depends on the complexity and stitch count of the design. Again, Corporate Clothier wants to make this as easy and simple for you as possible, and therefore charges a one-time $100.00 fee for all first time designs. If your design has previously been digitized for embroidery and you have it on disk, you can e-mail the file to us and this fee will be waved. Files must be in Tajima *.dst extension, Melco *.exp extension, or Barudan * .fmc extension.

Q: What are the minimum orders for embroidery?

A:  24 pieces.  Once you purchase the bulk quantity necessary for embroidery services to be applicable, an embroidery guide screen will come up during your check out allowing you to enter your information to add embroidery options to your order. Some artwork is easily reproduced so in some instances exceptions are made of this rule. ASK!  We try to be flexible to best serve you our customers so please  E-MAIL , or telephone any questions for prompt, professional advice on your embroidery needs.

Q: How long does it take to embroider?

A:  Standard production time is 3 weeks, which begins after Corporate Clothier has received all items/information to be embroidered and the design has been approved.  The standard turn around on digitizing is 1 week.
